Welcome to CommSpace!
This password protected site is designed as a collaborative space for us to brainstorm, share ideas and post updated documents to virtually discuss.
For those that are unfamiliar with a blog, this can be used a number of different ways. Some folks use them as running diaries, while others use them to post all content (photos, movies, etc.) and share with others. My thinking is that this would be a useful place for us to have on-going, constructive, virtual dialogue around a number of relevant employee communications topics!
I've set up a number of categories for us to file thoughts away. They are as follows:
- Benchmarking
- Best Practices
- Org Comm
- Travel
These categories will be used to help keep some things in order. Whenever you enter a new post, just select the category that you would want your post to fall under. You can even select multiple categories if like. I may not have anticipated every category and can always set up additional categories if desired.
If you would like to be set up as an author, please email me at mjohns13@corus.jnj.com. In addition, all non-authors can comment on any post and it will keep the string of comments associated with each post, which provides us with the on-going dialogue. Also, you'll see that you can insert images, files, email links, etc., through any post.
Keep in mind that though this is a password protected space and is limited to a small number of communications professionals, rules for engagement are no different than if this were on a J&J server. Therefore, we ask that you follow the following guidelines when posting:
- Know and follow J&J's Business Conduct Guidelines at all times
- Respect copyright, fair use and financial disclosure laws
- Don’t post confidential or other proprietary business information
- Always write as yourself and remember that what you write will be public for a long time, so protect your own privacy
- Don't cite or reference clients, partners or suppliers without their approval
- Respect one another
- Check in regularly and add value to the dialogue when appropriate
- Have fun
- Always use the Credo as your foundation
I hope that you find this as a useful, collaborative tool. Remember that blogs are only as useful as we make it, so let's have a go at it and let me know what you think!
Thanks - Matthew
